Full Day Mediation

9:00 – 5PM (or part thereof)

$2800 + GST

($1400 + GST per party)

Applicable to:

• Parenting mediations
• Property mediations
• Any other mediations
• Lawyer assisted mediations
• Shuttle mediations
• Mediations not exceeding 2 parties*

 Venue:

• Mediations are conducted face to face in Cairns at a centrally located venue or via Microsoft Teams.

 Fee Includes:

• Mediator travel time up to 1 hour each way
• Room/Venue hire
• Catered lunch
• Pre-mediation ‘Intake’ conference (mediator and party)
• Up to 2 hours reading and preparation
• Drafting a ‘Heads of Agreement’ or ‘Agreement’
• Provision of ‘Section 60I Certificate’ for parenting matters

Cancellations, Non-Attendance & Rescheduling:

• Cancellation by mediator after intakes but prior to mediation due to unsuitability: $400 + GST each party
• Cancellation by mediator during mediation due to unsuitability: Full fee
• Cancellation by party after intake: $400 + GST each party
• Termination by party during mediation – Full fee
• Cancellation resulting from non-attendance by a party at intake – $400 + GST each party
• Cancellation resulting from non-attendance by a party at mediation – Full fee

 *Multi-party matters:

If there are more than 2 parties (not including any lawyers or support people), the complexity of the issues increase, as does the time for Intake and time for the mediation. We can discuss fees with you in this situation.
